今月はモルト三昧ですな〜！（今週もう１本来ます）
125.14 (Glenmorangie) 1995-2008 13yo 55.9% S.M.W.S
久々にスコッチ・モルト・ウイスキー・ソサエティからグレンモーレンジを入荷しました！
インデペンデント・ボトラーへの供給が全く無いグレンモーレンジですが、同じ親会社の為か、ソサエティだけには特別に供給している。
そういった経緯もあってか、発売当初より爆発的な人気があり、ちょっと発注が出遅れると、まず入手出来ないし、当然、市場価格もうなぎ登りで、当初の物だと倍以上の価格で販売されたり、オークションなどにも登場するような商品でもあるのだ。
今回入荷のモーレンジは、同じソサエティでも英国向けのボトリングで、日本向けのテイスティング・ノートは出てませんが、本国のサイトに有りましたので、興味があれば下記をご参考下さい。
Cask No. 125.14 - Highland Northern
Tranquillity and bliss (HIGHLAND PAIR)
This distillery has the tallest stills in the business; birthplace of St Duthus (patron saint of tranquillity and bliss). Typical of the make, stories swirl in this whisky, if you concentrate. There is also a narrative in the cask – tall oaks – Ozarks – designer hoggie – bourbon jus primae noctis – finally single malt – then, ten years later; pale gold nectar of heather flowers, honey, fudge, orange. Initially assertive but mellows in the mouth to a tingle; peaches in syrup with dry oak in the finish. Reduced nose – coconut, vanilla, roast pineapple, tobacco, leather (Carmen’s shoes). Palate becomes honey sweet and delicious with perfect touch of oak.
さてさて、どんな香り、味なんでしょうね〜！１３年熟成だからそんなビッグでは無いにしろ、オフィシャルと違うアプローチなどは楽しみですね〜！ま、大差無いにしてもソサエティ＋モーレンジですので、そこそこのレベルの物であることは間違い無いでしょう！ではでは、オーダーお待ちしております！！
